CSS

The CSS is set up in a wrapper fashion. Meaning the wrapper is the bounding box that holds the whole thing together. The header at the moment basically does nothing accpet push the nav bar down into the right position. It could hold a log in box in the future however.

The logo image is set on a layer above all the other content so that some emelements will apear to be behind it and gives the site a more cohesive feels.

The nav bar has several links to the various pages in the site. Each link is a roll over image controled by a javascript script on the actual page.

The Main div acts as a smaller wrapper for the left and right divs and sets the background for that area to be white. The left div currently just holds a sidebar image, but could be altered later to include more content on the site should they wish to expand. The right div holds the major content of the page.

On the main page and any page where the content on the page was not enough to fill a 1024x768 screen there is a "cupon" div inside the right div. It's set to be centered horzontally and displays whatever promotion they are haivng at the time.

The footer does what the footer usually does on any page. It contains any copyright information the site owners wish to display and acts as sort of a book end for the content in the right div.

Web Hosting and Domain Name

After doing a little research I came across This Website which gives links to reviews and ratings based on domain services, extras, and customer server. I was mainly looking for a host that had good scores for services and especially customer support, and it turns out bluehost, the one that's highest in both, also has the hightest in extras too. I don't think Pipe Down Records will ever use them, but it's always nice to have something and not need it than need it and not have it. It's certainly not the cheapest on the site, but $4.95 isn't the most expensive either and certainly reasonable.

Only downside to them is they only do web hosting, not registration. To that end I have had Namecheap.com recomended to me as the best place to register a domain with.

If the idea of reistering and hosting the domain in two different spots doesn't sound that appealing then I would suggest Arvixe as it has a very high score in domain services and is still high in customer service. Justhost.com is also good, but they don't allow for streaming audio or video, which I imagine Pipe Down Records will want to do someday.
